The Pseudo-Messiah, aka Obama, has been let down by his dream team. The report so far looks rather bleak
- Tom Daschle, nominee for health secretary, and engineer-elect of Obama’s much vaunted health reforms, pulled out. He had forgotten to pay USD128,000 in taxes due over a car and driver provided to him by some rich benefactor (what kind of luxury car was it and what amazingly talented driver did it take to elicit USD128,000 in taxes????). This is nothing compared the money he’s been raking in from acting like an influence peddler…
- Nancy Killefer, the nominee for the government’s first ever, and rather tragically titled “Chief Performance Officer”, displayed rather dismal performance when she failed to pay taxes over a domestic employee. She too decided to fall on her sword. At least she showed class…
- The most tragic result of Obama’s lack of foresight, to say nothing of oversight, is Timothy Geithner. He too didn’t pay some back taxes till rather later and yet he was still confirmed. He is the Treasury Secretary now… I am sure America will feel a lot better now that it’s economic future is firmly in the hands of a man with a less than pristine sense of financial probity.
My views on Obama are well known by now, but just because he can talk well, it doesn’t mean a damn thing about how well he can pick his advisers (cronies), let alone know how to govern a country…. He’s a political gigolo: Obama will tell America anything she wants to hear, just to get her into bed, politically speaking, but he obviously doesn’t give two hoots about the basics of having a long term relationship based on decency and principles, if these are the kind of people in his family… The man is obviously too busy being the Messiah and writing speeches to sully his hand with the simple checks that would have been needed to avoid this embarassing episode. I can’t imagine it would have been that difficult for the Democrats to uncover the skeletons in the closet of their A-Team members!
Democrats are no cleaner than republicans, they are just better at being hypocrites.
